pix     Mary Pat Hyland is a former newspaper journalist who loves the west coast of Ireland, especially the dramatic beauty of County Clare. Her family is from Penn Yan, at the northern tip of Keuka Lake. It’s where her ancestors from Ireland settled in America.
She has visited wineries there (and on Seneca and Cayuga lakes) for many years and has taken delight in watching the Finger Lakes wine industry bloom into a world-class enterprise.
A Sudden Gift of Fate is her second novel, the sequel to The Cyber Miracles. In both novels, Hyland draws from her Irish ancestry and knowledge of Gaeilge, the Irish language.
Here’s what readers are saying about her debut novel, The Cyber Miracles:
               “Rollicking fun!”
                                 “A delightful read.”
                                                       “I couldn’t put it down.”
                                 “Leaves you feeling good.”
               “Highly recommended!”
“Your book would make a hell of a movie!”
